February 2018

Renewed two-year agreement

We are excited to continue our relationship with Pivot Physical Therapy. Pivot will be providing trainers at MD United games throughout the year. In addition, Pivot will be available to assist players in recovering from injuries and in prevention of injuries through programming. For more information visit  pivotphysicaltherapy.com. If you or your child has any needs, please contact Patrick Noel and he can connect you quickly with a Pivot representative to schedule an appointment most convenient for your family.

MD United FC - February Food Drive

Helping individuals and families in need

You will be receiving information soon regarding collections for a Food Drive. As we were slammed during the tradition Holiday months, we were not able to complete during the November and December period, but local food banks are always in need. We really appreciate your help and hope to remind our players to not forget those who are less fortunate.

Game Filming and Hosting

HUDL provides video analysis tools to over 164,000 teams and over 4 million coaches and athletes worldwide at all levels, including all 20 English Premier League clubs, and many national organizations including U.S. Soccer. With Hudl, all of our Maryland United High School aged teams (U-15 to U-18) and coaches will have the tools to provide team and individual player feedback, and allow players to create quality highlight reels for entertainment and recruiting purposes. Stream Sports will also film our games at major events.

Indian Creek School Fields

A few reminders regarding our usage

Just a few reminders as we look to remain respectful of our relationship with Indian Creek School (ICS) as these fields have provided a perfect venue for quality training and games.

  1. Drop-off and pick-up will only take place in the main parking lot in front of the school.

  2. Cars can no longer park past the stairs on the hill or behind the school along the access road.

  3. All parking must be in designated parking spaces in front  the school.

  4. Do not park in Indian Creek School designated spaces. Violation of this rule will result in cars being towed.

  5. Handicap parking can be provided upon request. Please contact Patrick Noell for more information.

  6. Dogs are not allowed onto field level area.

  7. Chewing gum is not allowed on the fields.

  8. Do not leave trash on the bleachers.

Thanks for your help in keeping players safe continuing to get access to these fields!!!

ECNL Sanford Showcases

Boys and Girls excelled in First HS ECNL Showcase in Florida

Our High School (U-15 to U-18) ECNL Boys and Girls teams recently returned Florida after attending  their Winter Showcases in Sanford, Florida. All teams performed well despite the quick transition from the end of the HS season to competitive play. College coaches lined sidelines as our teams played against clubs from across the country.

MD United FC | Winter League

We just completed the third week of Winter League games held each weekend at Indian Creek School for our U-12 to U-18 boys and girls teams. While hosting 24 teams from outside of the club, all teams play full-sided games over the winter months to make Spring preparation easier and also fulfill MD State Cup League requirements as teams can use USYS or US Club soccer rosters. For more information, contact Steve Campbell.

Premier|Elite HS Boys and Girls return to NC for pre-season event

Our U-15 to U-18 Premier and Elite boys and girls teams (8 teams in total) traveled to North Carolina for the Oak City Friendlies in Raleigh, NC. In that EDP Open Cup, MD State Cup, and EDP (Boys) and NPL (Girls) play is just around the corner, this event served to provide some quality games as groups get ready for a busy end of the Winter and Spring play.

Mid-Year Evaluations completed during February

All of our players, U-9 Junior Academy to U-18 boys and girls, will be receiving a formal written evaluation over the month of February. Coaches will take the time to provide some necessary feedback of the development of each of their players.

2018 Summer League Play

CCL Pro-23 | Men and Women

MD United will again place U-23 teams in the Club Champions League (CCL) for the Summer of 2018. Last year several of our college players returned and a few high school players for summer league play for both men and women. We look forward to building on the success of last year and helping our former players stay sharp over the summer. The league has expanded to 34 teams this summer and always provides high quality competition.

We still have a few roster spots in some age-groups
