Come and enjoy a day of training and scrimmages at Maryland United South. The clinics are open to all interested players from U8 (2016) to U12 (2012). The clinics will be at 5:45PM to 7:00PM at the Calverton School (300 Calverton School Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639).

TRAVEL SOCCER 2023-24
Maryland United is delighted to offer club soccer for the 2023-24 season and beyond. We have formed a U10 Girls (2014), U10 Boys (2014) and U12 Boys (2012) for the 2023-24 season. We will continue to offer U9 through U12 teams for Boys and Girls looking to join one of the top programs in the region. Maryland United South will be an extension of the overall Maryland United program but will stand alone to create independent teams based solely out of Southern Maryland (Calvert, Charles, St. Marys & Southern PG County) in the youngest age groups. Teams will be created in the MK (U5-U6), JRA (U7-U8), U9, U10, U11 and U12 age groups with the purpose of combining the player pool with the entire Maryland United player pool at U13 and above for programming in the ECNL, ECNL-RL, National League, Premier & Elite levels.
Maryland United South will follow the same delineation as the Maryland United teams in Anne Arundel County. Maryland United South players will try out together in their respective age group. Teams will be tiered as follows: The first team (South Red) second (South White) third (South Gold) & fourth (South Silver) team will be created in age groups where the player pool is large enough to support more than one team.
At U13 and above the teams will tryout with the entire Maryland United player pool to create the first team (ECNL), second (ECNL-RL), third (Premier) and fourth (Elite) teams in the age groups where the player pool is large enough to support more than one team.
Scheduled periodically throughout the year, Maryland United South teams will have academy training nights with the entire Maryland United player pool and have guest playing opportunities between Maryland United & Maryland United South teams.

SPRING 2024 SOUTH | CALVERTON SCHOOL
Practice Program - $195.00 | 1x practice night on Friday evenings at Calverton School
Team Program - $295.00 | 1x practice night on Friday evening and 7v7 Games on the weekend in the Anne Arundel County league. This program will have limited spaces.
The Junior Academy program builds on the FUNdamental skills and techniques introduced in the mini-kickers program, with more focus on introducing players to a team environment and learning the game.

All players will learn the rules of the game and focus on improving individual technical skills of dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting.
Individual and team skill development will be stressed ahead of winning, with a focus on fun and long term development. The small-sided games approach (from 1v1 to 5v5) is the optimal way to introduce young players to the beautiful game.
All Junior Academy players will then graduate to tryout for our U9 teams the following year.

The Mini Kickers program focuses on FUNdamental soccer skills and techniques, including motor skills, social skills, and coordination. Each session will follow our age appropriate curriculum.

1 practice per week x 8-10 weeks (Begins Friday, April 5)

5:45PM-6:45PM
Approximately 8-10 practice sessions.
Each practice will begin with each individual with a ball, learning skills & coordination with the ball, before progressing into small group activities, where we encourage teamwork and cooperation. We will always end with players going to goal. As we progress through the program, we will work towards small-sided scrimmages, which will prepare the players as they graduate to the Junior Academy program (U7-U8) in the future.
