The Maryland United Junior Academy program is designed to provide a fun, enthusiastic and positive learning experience,

through practice and competition, for the player's first few years of soccer.

Program Overview

The Junior Academy program builds on the FUNdamental skills and techniques introduced in the mini-kickers program, with more focus on introducing players to a team environment and learning the game.

The program has grown tremendously to include over 60 players per season in the program, over the last 2 years.

U7 (2017)  Boys & Girls
U8 (2016)  Boys & Girls

All players will learn the rules of the game and focus on improving individual technical skills of dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting.

Individual and team skill development will be stressed ahead of winning, with a focus on fun and long term development. The small-sided games approach (from 1v1 to 5v5) is the optimal way to introduce young players to the beautiful game.

All Junior Academy players will then graduate to tryout for our U9 teams the following year.
